Spanish moss and cypress trees along Bayou Corne

Bayou Corne, Louisiana

The real bayou, right off the porch.

Three hand-built cabins on the water, between Baton Rouge and Morgan City. Fish from the wharf, paddle the bayou, or just sit a while.

Welcome

Rest, fish, paddle, or do nothing at all.

Cajun Cabins sits on LA Highway 70 in the heart of south Louisiana’s bayou country, just north of Pierre Part. It’s a quiet place for fishing and nature photography, a romantic getaway, or a family trip.

Every cabin shares a tree-shaded wharf over the bayou, a grassy lawn, a campfire ring, grills, and boats to take out whenever you like. It’s also a handy base for day trips through the Atchafalaya.

The cabins

Three cabins, one bayou.

Cedar, cypress and pine inside. Each has a queen bed downstairs, a loft, a full kitchen and bath, A/C and a gas-log fireplace.

“Most enjoyable were the kayak trips on the bayou. There is more wildlife here than any place we have ever visited.”

— Debra & Deric, Hyannis, MA

“On our honeymoon… loved and enjoyed the place. And we will be back.”

— E. & C. Minor, New Orleans, LA

Your hosts

Dennis & Pat Landry

Dennis was born in 1951 in Belle Rose, on Bayou Lafourche, and grew up paddling it in an antique cypress pirogue. He built the first cabin in 1998, inspired by his old friend and lead carpenter Harvey Danos, and the other two followed.

Pat has given the cabins their “woman’s touch.” Together they love helping guests get the most out of a stay on the bayou.
