Location

At La. Hwy 70 and Sportsman’s Drive, at the foot of the Bayou Corne Bridge: about 35 miles south of Baton Rouge, 25 miles north of Morgan City and 5 miles north of Pierre Part.

For a navigation device, use 1493 La. Hwy 70 South, Belle Rose, LA 70341. That’s the parking lot for the cabins and the boat launch.

Directions

From Baton Rouge (north and west)

  1. From I-10, cross the Mississippi River Bridge and take the Hwy 1 South exit, #153 (Plaquemine).
  2. Continue about 22 miles on LA Hwy 1 to Hwy 69 at the stop light in White Castle.
  3. Turn right onto Hwy 69 / Bowie St. and go about 12 miles to LA Hwy 70 South.
  4. Turn right on LA 70 South and go about 1.2 miles.
  5. Look to your left and turn at Sportsman’s Landing. You’ll see Cajun Cabins!

From Baton Rouge (south and east)

  1. Take I-10 East toward Gonzales and New Orleans.
  2. Take exit #182 (Donaldsonville, Sorrento, Hwy 22).
  3. Turn right onto LA Hwy 22 West for about a quarter mile.
  4. Turn left at the caution light onto LA Hwy 70 West.
  5. Go about 8–10 miles and cross the Mississippi on the Sunshine Bridge.
  6. Stay in the left lane and continue on Hwy 70 West about 17 miles. Stay on LA 70 West; don’t take Spur 70.

From New Orleans

  1. Take I-10 West toward Baton Rouge.
  2. Take exit #182 (Donaldsonville, Sorrento, Hwy 22).
  3. Turn left onto LA Hwy 22 West for about a quarter mile.
  4. Turn left onto LA Hwy 70 West at the caution light.
  5. Go about 8–10 miles and cross the Mississippi on the Sunshine Bridge.
  6. Stay in the left lane and continue on LA Hwy 70 West about 17 miles. Stay on LA 70 West; don’t take Spur 70.

From Lafayette

  1. Take Hwy 90 East toward Morgan City, about 60 miles.
  2. On the high-rise bridge in Morgan City, take the second exit, LA 182 / Hwy 70.
  3. At the bottom of the exit, cross old Hwy 90 (182) and turn left onto LA 70 (9th Street).
  4. After about half a mile, turn right onto Hwy 70 East / Marguerite St.
  5. Follow LA 70 past Lake End Park and Lake Palourde, with the levee on your left for about 15 miles.
  6. In Belle River, cross the Belle River Bridge and continue through Pierre Part on LA 70. Bayou Corne is 10 miles from Belle River.
  7. After Pierre Part there’s about a mile and a half of woods. Cross the next bridge, the Bayou Corne Bridge, and turn right into our parking lot.
